The world is not always a pleasant place. It seems that every day the news has another terrible thing to report, some tragedy. Despite this, here in the United States we are safer than many.
We enjoy the freedom to drive to a grocery store and purchase food that is safe to eat.
We enjoy the freedom to use social media to express ourselves.
We enjoy the freedom to vote for our leaders.
We enjoy the freedom to express our distaste of those who are in power.
We enjoy the freedom to worship whomever we please.
We enjoy the freedom to have however many children we want.
We enjoy the freedom to marry who we love.
We enjoy the freedom to be free.
While this world is in turmoil, and it seems the country is in constant upheaval over one thing or another. I urge you to take a moment today, and everyday to remember those who gave their lives so we could enjoy this freedom we have. We are lucky, we are blessed, never forget those who gave it all.
